Sulaimanbekova

Member of the Board, National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic

Zhyldyz Sagynalievna Sulaimanbekova is a Board Member of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, appointed by order of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on September 27, 2024.

She has extensive experience in banking supervision, licensing, financial reporting, and green finance methodology. She began her career in 2000 as a lecturer at the International Academy of Management, Law, Finance and Business, where she taught in the Finance and Credit Department. In 2006, she joined the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, holding several specialist and leadership positions across financial reporting, banking supervision, inspection, licensing, and supervision methodology.

From 2016 to 2022, she served as Head of the Supervision and Licensing Methodology Department and later as Head of the Bank Supervision and Licensing Methodology Department at the National Bank. She subsequently worked as Deputy Chairman of “Interbank Processing Center” CJSC from 2022 to 2023, before joining the “State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic” OJSC, where she served as Project Manager and Director of the Green Finance Methodology Department from 2023 to 2024.

Ms. Sulaimanbekova graduated from the Kyrgyz National State University in 2000 with a degree in Economics and Management. In 2015, she completed further studies at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of Commercial Bank Inspection and Banking Management.

Throughout her career, she has received several awards and certificates of appreciation from institutions including the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan, the Deposit Protection Agency, and the Stock Exchange of the Kyrgyz Republic.

She speaks Kyrgyz, Russian, and English.
